Placing himself into the Paradiso, Dante expands the humans sphere to the divine one, brings heavens closer to earth. The fact, that Dante the Poet associates himself with his character, Dante the Poet, serves as a mean of humanization of such obscure sphere as the Paradiso. Thereby, Dante’s character, Dante the Traveler is incarnation of the whole humanity which suffers from its sins and craves for the way to the bliss of heaven. His work is devoted to a human, his/her weaknesses and virtues but not about society or social relationships. Nevertheless, in The Divine Comedy Dante is not an indifferent historian, but also a person who passionately protects his ideals. Still, many genius works present us the stories of their authors’ souls. Dante’s main character is a soul of a human, Dante. It is also a poem about Dante himself and simultaneously, about a person, who travels through “other” worlds, purifies and acquires perfect cognition. At the same time, The Divine Comedy is also a kind of excursion into the historical domain of past and future. Also it may be interpreted as three different steps of existence: Inferno of life, Purgatorio of human’s inner struggle and the Paradiso of the belief. The Divine Comedy presents three aspects of objective reality such as personal drama of the poet, the story of humanity and the structure of the universe.

Aaron Reynolds and Dan Santat make for a thoroughly marvelous team. After reading it to several groups of kindergartners I can safely say that this is a winning book. Obviously, this is a perfect read aloud for sharing with youngsters, maybe before a trip to the beach. I suspect this picture book will singlehandedly be responsible for the return to popularity of that much-used word. I laughed all the way through, and young readers will too. The text is fun to read aloud, varying how the word "DUDE" is uttered, and the images are crisp, clean, and hold readers' attention. But all three end up being friends, sharing ice cream on the beach after using the shark's body as the world's biggest and best surf board. The facial expressions in the illustrations are hilarious with the platypus getting a load of bird waste on its head, and the beaver realizing that a great white shark is heading their way. Phrases such as "FAR OUT!" and "GNARLY" and yes, that ubiquitous "DUDE!" come to mind, of course, while watching their antics as they head out to catch the perfect wave. Relying on one word repeated throughout the story but in different typefaces and colors, this almost wordless picture book follows the surfing adventures of a beaver and a platypus. 3.5 for me because I liked it much more upon a second reading. There's a West Cork connection here, of course - co-star Max Irons is the son of actor Jeremy Irons, a Hollywood star who now resides in the area. "Her attempts to keep them all safe ultimately push Olivia to become to the most terrifying version of herself, leading to her inevitable-and notorious-decision to lock her grandchildren in the attic.” Under Malcolm’s debonair exterior lies a dark heart, and a twisted evil lurks inside Foxworth Hall that will threaten Olivia’s happiness and that of her children. “After a whirlwind romance, Olivia finds herself as the mistress of the imposing Foxworth Hall, where she soon discovers that the fairytale life she expected has quickly become a nightmare. “Flowers in the Attic: The Origin tells the story of the headstrong and determined Olivia Winfield (Rooper) who is working alongside her beloved father (Hamlin) when she finds herself unexpectedly wooed by one of the nation’s most eligible bachelors, Malcolm Foxworth (Irons),” reads a press release. He is later believed to have died in an avalance, but really was found by monks who took him to an italian monastery where he spend the next fifty-seven years. Also starring are Frasier's Kelsey Grammer, as well as Paul Wesley, Harry Hamlin, Kate Mulgrew, Alana Boden, Hannah Dodd, T’Shan Williams, and Callum Kerr. After Mals death in a motocycle accident, Joel leaves Foxworth Hall to pursue an orchestra career, despite his fathers disapproval. Starring Jemima Rooper and Max Irons, the story follows Olivia Winfield (Rooper), on her journey through her family's dark secrets. We also have a new romance for a certain courtesan we had met in the last book, and more secret connections and powers to discover for many characters. Her and Pela's love is steaming away in between all the little moments captured between dangers and duty. We get lots of lovely moments of her bonding with citizens and discovering the world, and also with the horses (sweet Sunflower stole my heart!) and just all around endearing herself to everyone she meets, while thwarting danger. But she's never arrogant, and always thinking of others. Savannah is so savvy and confident, and has really stepped up in her role as 'Chosen One'. There is excellent world-building and introduction of so many communities and animals, and their royals and workings. We hit the ground running with Savannah looking to recruit some special people in order to unite the land of Rand, and prepare for the evil that is coming! I love that we got to investigate a wide range of the communities and locations of Rand during these parts and be introduced to more characters and their own stories and also some connections to characters we have already met in book 1. An Advanced Copy was sent to me by the author for review! It is currently available RIGHT NOW!Ī great time to go back to Book 1: Rand and do a reread to familiarise yourself, or to try it for the first time, since it is also on Kindle Unlimited.
